A Bamberg resident who was driving a family member to a medical appointment made an unplanned stop at the EnMarket store on Main Highway in Bamberg and bought a $3 Cash Lines scratch-off ticket, according to the South Carolina Education Lottery. The ticket revealed a $75,000 prize.
The player, who did not want to be named, told lottery officials that he had never purchased a ticket from that store before. “That was pure luck,” he said. “I’m still trying to process it.”
Lottery officials confirmed the win and said the man exercised his right to remain anonymous under South Carolina law. The $75,000 prize is the top payout for the Cash Lines game, which costs $3 per ticket.
