Two Navy jets collided midair Sunday afternoon during the “Gunfighter Skies” air show at Mountain Home Air Force Base, the Associated Press reported. The aircraft became entangled, with the two planes sandwiching together before the four crew members ejected and deployed their parachutes. The fliers descended safely as the wreckage plunged into a field and exploded. The base is located about 57 miles (92 kilometers) southwest of Boise.

MSI previously reported that all four crew members ejected safely after the two jets collided. The Associated Press noted that the planes were sandwiched together in the air before the ejections.
