A 41-year-old man has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to breaking into a Jeep Wagoneer rented by members of Beyoncé’s tour crew and stealing hard drives containing the singer’s unreleased music, footage plans, and concert set lists, the Associated Press reported Tuesday.

Kelvin Evans entered the guilty pleas in Fulton County Superior Court on Tuesday, according to news outlets. He was charged with entering an automobile and criminal trespass. Evans, who was scheduled to stand trial this week, instead accepted a plea deal and was immediately sentenced to two years in prison. The case stems from a July 2025 break-in that targeted a parked Jeep Wagoneer rented by Christopher Grant, a choreographer for Beyoncé, and Diandre Blue, a dancer.

Grant and Blue told Atlanta police they returned to the vehicle on July 8 to find the trunk window damaged and two suitcases missing. Inside were hard drives that contained unreleased music, along with footage plans and concert set lists, according to a police report. The theft occurred two days before Beyoncé kicked off four nights of concerts at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium as part of her “Cowboy Carter” tour.

Surveillance cameras captured the break-in, allowing police to identify and arrest Evans in August. Despite the arrest, authorities have not recovered the hard drives or the other items stolen from the vehicle.
