Ford Motor Co. said it is recalling 422,613 vehicles because windshield wiper arms can break, potentially reducing visibility and raising the risk of a crash. The automaker said the recall covers multiple model lines and certain years of production.

In its notification to drivers, Ford said it will address the safety concern by having dealerships inspect and replace the wiper arms free of charge. Ford also said it expects to begin notifying owners with letters on April 13, with additional letters to follow once a remedy is determined and made available.

Ford said vehicle owners can look up the affected vehicles through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s VIN search on NHTSA.gov as of April 1, 2026. Ford also provided a customer service contact and said owners should reference the company’s recall number, 26S24.

The recall includes 2021-2023 Lincoln Navigators and 2021-2023 Ford Expeditions, Ford said. Ford said it also includes 2022-2023 F-Series Super Duty trucks, including the F-250 SD, F-350 SD, F-450 SD, F-550 SD and F-600 SD.

Ford said owners can contact its customer service at 1-866-436-7332 to get more information and reference Ford’s recall number, 26S24.
