Gerber is recalling certain lots of its arrowroot teething biscuits after the company said the products may contain pieces of soft plastic or paper and should not be eaten.
The recall includes 5.5-ounce packages of the biscuits that are often given to teething babies, according to Gerber’s recall notice described by the Associated Press.
Gerber said the affected packages have best-by dates between Oct. 16 and Dec. 16, 2026, and that consumers should check the back of the packages for the codes of the affected lots.
The company said the plastic and paper pieces came from a supplier of arrowroot flour that initiated the recall.
Gerber also said no illnesses or injuries have been reported as a result of the problem.
In its statement, Gerber told consumers that the recalled products can be returned to the place of purchase for a refund, and that no other Gerber products are affected by the recall.
