Schools disrupted
Classes were canceled Monday at more than a dozen schools in the El Paso Independent School District because of the outage, officials said. Other schools in the area remained open but were operating under the boil water notice.

El Paso Water established water distribution centers for residents without service. The boil water notice remains in effect across affected areas until water quality testing confirms service can be safely resumed, officials said.
Trejo said officials expect operations to return to normal by midweek.
